It's chaotic, it's wild, it's beautiful | Montana Family Photos With Littles | How to Prepare Yourself
If you’ve ever tried to wrangle little ones for a family photo session, you know it can feel a little… wild. Someone’s shirt is untucked, someone else is refusing shoes, and snacks somehow end up being part of the scene. And you know what? That’s exactly what makes it beautiful.
As a photographer, I don’t expect perfect behavior or Pinterest-level posing. What I love to capture are the in-between moments—your toddler’s crooked smile, the way your baby reaches for you, the belly laughs, the cuddles, and even the occasional meltdowns. Because that’s real life. And real life is so worth remembering.
You don’t have to show up stressed, hoping everything goes "just right." Show up as you are messy, loving, and beautifully human. Some of the most meaningful images happen when things aren’t picture-perfect, but deeply honest.
So let the kids be kids. Let the wind blow your hair around. Let the moment unfold. These are the memories you’ll treasure: not because they’re polished, but because they’re yours.

This family was the absolute sweetest. This was a Mommy and Me session that we did last June in the beautiful Hamilton, Montana, located in the Bitterroot Valley. These three kiddos has loads of energy and it was such blast to see it evolve on camera alongside their sweet love for each other!
